Good morning {{first name | neighbor}}!

Today is the final day of school for kids in Howard County - good luck! 😂

Also, tomorrow is Juneteenth! As such, Howard County Government will be closed (link has full list of open and closed facilities). This includes offices, 50+ centers, animal shelters, and county courts. Trash and recycling will be collected as normal and Alpha Ridge Landfill will be open. HoCo libraries will be closed as well.

Speaking of Juneteenth, there are events all weekend but there are two big celebrations in Columbia. The first is on Friday at the Columbia Lakefront and the second is a Saturday Block Party at the Harriet Tubman Cultural Center.

And if bluegrass is your thing, you won’t want to miss the Savage Bluegrass Festival on Saturday.
