What a week it’s been! Snow (and ice!) cover everything and hopefully you’ve been safe, warm, and sane (especially if you have kids and they’ve been home all week!).

⭐ If you have kids at home, consider having them enter the Women’s History Month Poster Contest hosted by the Howard County Commission for Women. The theme for this year is a celebration of the collective strength and influence of women who have dedicated their lives to education, mentorship, innovation, and leadership. Here are more details on the contest and entries are due by February 6th.

If your mailbox or something else was damaged by a HoCo snow plow, here’s the policy for claims. Note that they only cover physical contact by the plow to the property (like your mailbox), if it was damaged by thrown snow or ice, unfortunately that’s not covered.

Keep an eye on the forecasts too… there’s a “bomb cyclone” coming up the East Coast and we may get a little more snow this weekend but right now it’s not looking likely.

Also, given all the snow & frigid temps, double check that the events listed below are still happening.

For ages 5-8, Asenla Chand is hosting a home-based 60-min class for up to 8 children at her home in North Laurel from 4:30-5:30pm where they will build simple STEM projects, make crafts, paint & explore colors, and more starting February 3rd. Click here for more information.
