Giving Tree @ The Common Kitchen 🎄

The Common Kitchen will be having a Giving Tree where you can purchase an extra food item/meal or drink and hang an ornament on their tree. Those who wish to use it can grab the ornament and get the item from the vendor. It’s a way to spread holiday cheer and generosity in our neighborhood.

  • Columbia Orchestra Holiday Pops - 10:30am, enjoy Sleigh Ride, selections from The Nutcracker, and a sing-along-worthy Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. We’ll celebrate many traditions with the joyful Festive Sounds of Hanukkah and take a magical trip on The Polar Express. Rounding things out are the nostalgic glow of White Christmas and the lively A Christmas Carnival to send you home humming.

  • Columbia Pro Cantare Chamber Singers: A Christmas Noel - Enjoy the CPC Chamber Singers at a 4pm performance of A Christmas Noel at the Christ Episcopal Church in Columbia.

  • Kwanzaa Market Day - Noon to 2pm, support local Black-owned businesses this holiday season at Howard County's first Kwanzaa Market Day. Do some holiday shopping while embracing the Kwanzaa principle of Ujamaa (Cooperative Economics)-to build and maintain Black-owned stores, shops and other businesses.

  • School of Rock @ Sonoma’s - Enjoy an early performance from School of Rock at 3pm followed by the band High Test at 7pm.

  • Christmas Drag Brunch & Toys for Tots Toy Drive - 'Drag Me To Brunch' is back at Union Jack's Columbia with its annual Toys For Tots Toy Drive! Bring a toy to help us give back to the community! Join our Ugly Sweater Contest with $100 prize to the winner!

  • Howard County Pride Winter Wonderland Gala Fundraiser - Held at the Howard County Fairgrounds, this event runs from 6-9pm and includes food, cash bar, music, live auction, and drag show.

  • KidSpace Movie Night @ Columbia Athletic Club - Kids 4-13 of CA members can enjoy a movie, free activities, pizza, and popcorn from 6pm to 9pm. Unfortunately, CA doesn’t seem to list the movie being shown!

  • Free Guided Tour of B&O Ellicott City Station Museum - We love this free museum, especially the model train room (it’s quite impressive). As it’s the holidays, they’ve also revamped a few rooms to include lights! Tours are free and start at 2pm every Saturday and Sunday.
