Good morning {{first name | neighbor}}!
🎭 If you are free tonight or Friday night, come to Lime Kiln Middle School and watch hardworking kids (and adults!) put on a production of Mystery at a Malt Shop - a zany murder mystery set in a 1950s … you guessed it! … malt shop.
A reminder that next Tuesday is Veterans Day, a time in which we honor those who have served in the armed forces. There’s a parade near Columbia Mall on Sunday (more details below) and many Howard County government facilities will be closed (but some, like the landfill and parks, will remain open) on this federal holiday.
Also, if you have kids in HoCo schools, next Wednesday (Nov12) is a shortened day - 3 hours early out for a work & wellness day.
Let’s go!

Don’t throw away your pumpkins just yet because they can be composted or given to animals (like chickens!) to eat.
If you are willing to wait until November 22nd, you can also bring them to the Miller Library where they will be hosting a Pumpkin Palooza. If you are not willing to wait, you can take them to Burleigh Manor Animal Sanctuary right now and leave them at the gate. (no painted pumpkins or small gourds though!)
